KYIV. The 150th issue of the informational weekly TV-program “World of the Orthodoxy” went on the air
In its present format the TV-program "World of the Orthodoxy" went on air for the first time in January, 2007. Previously for some time (throughout 2003 - 2005) it was broadcast by the TV-Channel "Era".
Today the "World of the Orthodoxy" is broadcast by
the three TV-channels: «Glas», «Era» and «Kyivan Rus». One can watch all the
issues on the Internet on the web-sites of the program (tv.orthodoxy.org.ua) and
the TV-channel "Glas" (glas.org.ua). During thirty-five seconds the viewers
have an opportunity to learn about the latest events of the life of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine
and abroad, as well as to listen to the pastoral instruction of the Primate of
the Ukrainian Orthodox Church His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr.
The editing of the "World of the Orthodoxy" program is performed on the technical basis
of the TV-channel "Glas". Working on the program are about 20 people - the
journalists, directors, operators, editors, video-engineers, sound editors. In particular, the author of the program is also His Beatitude
Metropolitan Volodymyr.
Every issue contains
his topical sermon (section «Primate's Word»).
The permanent host of
the "World of the Orthodoxy" is
Secretary for the UOC Primate Bishop Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyy Bishop Alexander (Drabynko), who
took part in program creating while being a layman.
One hundred and fifty
issues - is more than a thousand of live reports, more than 500 of stories about
the church life abroad, dozens
of video-materials on the orthodox shrines of Ukraine and the world.
