KYIV. UOC Primate Took Part in Vote in Elections of President of Ukraine
On Sunday, February 7, the day of elections of the President of Ukraine, His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr arrived to the electoral precinct 46, Pechersk District of the capital and took part in the vote.
Thereafter
Vladyka Volodymyr talked to journalists and answered their questions.
In
particular, the Archpastor underscored that in order to have good authorities,
every citizen should work over himself.
"One
should increase the level of one's spiritual development, be hard-working and
love people, to have goodness in one's heart and to try to make as many good
deeds as possible to the people around us", he said.
Also
the Primate marked that fact that many citizens expected positive changes from
the present elections and reminded that in their hopes the people should trust
God and take active part themselves.
«One should rely on God, but we know that the Lord cannot save us without us. Therefore in all
matters we rely on God's help, and man should cooperate with Him, and it should
not be a personal will, but the will subordinate to the God's will", the Primate
noted.
