KYIV. New Issue of 'World of Orthodoxy' Program Aired


 

The program begins with the stories of the visit of His beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr to Moscow on the occasion of the enthronement anniversary of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.  The section "Orthodox Ukraine" tells about consecration of the church in Berezivka village of Makariv district, holding of the round table "The Family - religious, social and legal aspects", publication of "The book for reading in Church Slavonic for the children of Sunday schools and family reading", historical exhibition «Spiritual treasures of the Orthodoxy in the Dnieper region» in Dnipropetrovsk, art exhibition in Donetsk,  birth preparation courses "Nativity", and on the XV International Festival of East Slavonic carols  in Poland. 

The section of international news "Orthodox world" informs the viewers on the main events taking place during the last week in the church life abroad: President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev supported initiative of restoring the institute of the military clergy in Russia, celebration of the fifth anniversary of the orthodox TV-channel Soyuz, the 85th anniversary of the Romanian Patriarchate.   

In the permanent rubrics "Primate's Word" His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr said the sermon on commemoration of the Hieromartyr Volodymyr (Bohoyavlenskyy): «The lightsome stars, not seduced by the world - that is how the Church names the holy martyrs, proclaiming the Sun of Christ by the light of their feats".
