KYIV. His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr Bestowed Church Awards on Heads and Co-Workers of Art Workshop Designing Resurrection Cathedral

On February 26, at the working study of the residence at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra (Kyiv Caves Monastery) the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church marked with church distinctions the heads and co-workers of the Art Workshop VISAK, who designed the UOC Cathedral of Resurrection of Christ.  

In particular, Metropolitan Volodymyr conferred the orders of the Holy Hierarch Dimitry, Metropolitan of Rostov on the workshop's head, Valentine Isak, people's deputy to the Kyiv Rada Vitaly Lavrynenko, chief architect of the project Oleh Kalynovskyy, architects Serhiy Nezdorovyy and Yakiv Demchenko. The Archpastor also conferred the order of the Icon of the Mother of God of Pochayiv on director of Art Workshop VISAK Hanna Sushko. 

Delivering awards to the architects, the Primate thanked them for assistance to the Church and wished success in their future achievements.   

The design of the cathedral was developed by the experienced architects of the Art Workshop VISAK, co-workers of "Stoliytsia" Corporation with people's architect of Ukraine Valentine Isak at the head.   Having developed the design of the cathedral, Valentine Isak has thereby granted charitable assistance to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.  Note that today the team of VISAK has devised more than 10 churches.   

In conclusion, His Beatitude Volodymyr offered keepsake presents to the guests in remembrance of their visit to Lavra.
