KYIV. New Issue of ‘World of Orthodoxy’ Program Aired

The program begins with the story about the feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy at the Kyiv-Pechersk. Also the section "Orthodox Ukraine" tells about the visit of Patriarch Kirill to Ukraine, the session of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the visit of Metropolitan Volodymyr to Chernihiv, consecration of the flag of the International Officers' Corps, art exhibition "My Orthodox Ukraine" and charitable concert of archpriest Roman Baranovskyy.

The section of International news "Orthodox World" tells the viewers about the main events of the church life for the last week abroad: the first Orthodox divine service performed on Cuba,  the salutation cross was installed at Cape Horn in honor of the deceased sailors, (Tierra del Fuego), in Jerusalem the ruins of the Solomon's temple (Izrael) were discovered, the growth of demand for the Bible was documented  in China.

In the permanent rubrics "Primate's Word" His Beatitude says a sermon on the Sunday of the Synaxis of the Venerable Fathers of the Kyiv Caves: "the Holy-Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra due to the holy and venerable and God-bearing fathers who shone in it through their feats, is known today all over the world, and only the orthodox world.   It was here that on the Kyiv hills, for the first time in the treasury of the monastic holiness not one, two or several saints, but the whole synaxis - some 120 wonderworkers and righteous men appeared, decorating the church firmament like the shining star shower".
