KYIV. New Issue of “World of the Orthodoxy Program” Aired

The program begins with the story about the Sunday of Veneration of the Holy Cross. Also the section "Orthodox Ukraine" tells about the service of Passions in the Great Lent, the readers' tonsure at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the visit of Metropolitan Volodymyr to Italy, the architects' conferment by Metropolitan Volodymyr, the conference "The students' study at a theological school", Psalter readings at Volyn Theological Seminary, blessing of the bells in Berdyansk and the exhibition of the icons of the Kyivan painter Alexander Klymenko.   

In the international news' section "Orthodox World" the viewers can get to know about the main events that have taken place during the last week in the church life abroad: In Bulgaria the Day of liberation from the Turkish rule was celebrated, the weekly TV program of the Estonian Orthodox Church will be on air soon, the worship will be renewed  in the church of St. Michael's Castle in St. Petersburg (Russia), the Hermitage  co-workers are going to pass the church of the Saviour-not-Made by hands, situated in the Hermitage Winter Palace into the exploitation of the Church.  

The section "Our Shrines" will present to your attention the story of the Holy Dormition Skete Ksilurgu of the Mount Athos.  

In the permanent section "Primate's Word" His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr says sermon dedicated to "The Human Cross-Bearing": "Taking the Cross means accepting sorrowful circumstances of life, suffer them and to overcome the trials sent, not to fall under their weight and not to let them crush oneself".
