KYIV. Representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church participated in the festivities dedicated to the 196th birthday anniversary of the Great Kobzar


On March 9 at the National Opera of Ukraine, with the participation of the president of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych the solemnities dedicated to the 196^th anniversary of the Great Kobzar were conducted. At the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr among those present were the teacher of the Kyiv Theological Seminary hegumen Aristarkh (Lebedev) and the co-worker of the Kyiv Metropolis of the UOC hegumen Arkady (Demchenko). Attending the festive concert were the famous poets, artists, laureates of the National Taras Shevchenko Award. At the end the President of Ukraine for a long time talked to the creative elite representatives.
