KYIV. Representative of UOC External Relations Department Met with Spanish Ambassador to Ukraine


 

On March 10, at the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kyiv and All Ukraine, Secretary of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC  archpriest Mykola Danylevych met with the Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine Mr. José Rodriguez Moyano.

In the course of the meeting the issues of cooperation between the Department for External Church Relations and the Spanish diplomatic representation were discussed.  In particular, it was referred to the facilitation of the procedure of procurement of visas for the clergy, seminary students and other categories of the church persons.  The parties also discussed the existing situation of the Ukrainian guest workers in this country.  Mr. Ambassador emphasized in the conversation the positive attitude to our compatriots, who peacefully live and diligently work in his country, and also expressed readiness for the close and constructive cooperation with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.    

In completion of the meeting archpriest Mykolai Danilevych offered to Mr. José Rodriguez Moyano the photo album "The Primate", where the moments of life and service of His Beatitude metropolitan Volodymyr are depicted, and the video-movie about the Kyiv-pechersk Lavra and the Kyiv-Pechersk Paterik in English.   

Taking part in the meeting also was the co-worker of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC Andriy Kobyletskyy.
