KYIV. UOC Primate Conferred Church Awards on Heads of Public Association “International Officers’ Corps”
On March 12, His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr received at his residence at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra the head of the International Officers' Corps general-colonel Volodymyr Tolubko.
Volodymyr Tolubko handed His Beatitude the
certificate of emeritus general of the International Officers' Corps, the Order of Motherland and nominal Georgian cutlass
and asked the Primate's blessing for the work on military-patriotic upbringing
of the youth.
On his part His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr conferred on general-colonel Volodymyr Tolubko and
general-mayor Yuriy Yakovlev the
jubilee orders of 1020th anniversary of Baptism of the Kyivan Rus".
Also the honorable title of general of the International Officers' Corps, the
order and cutlass were conferred on head of the Synodal Department for
Relations with the Armed Forces and other military agencies of Ukraine.
The International Officres' Corps is a public association
including both effective as well as resigned and retired generals and officers.
