His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr Extended Condolences on Terror Attacks In Moscow Metro

In the morning, on March 29, on the Moscow subway two explosions blew up at a time.  At the metro station Lubyanka an explosion struck at 7:52 am, Moscow time, and  at the station "Park of Culture" - at 8:36 am. According to the data from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, as a result of the two extremists' terror attacks 36 people died and 65 were injured.

On behalf of the hierarchs, clergy and faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr sent telegrams of condolence to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, President of Russian Federation Dmitry Mykhailovych Medvedev and the Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the Russian Federation in Ukraine Mykhail Yurievich Zurabov.

We bring to your notice the text of the telegram:

"It is with a feeling of deep sorrow and anxiety that the news about the terror attacks in the Moscow metro echoed in our hearts. We find no justification to these outrageous and inhuman actions, entailing numerous human losses. We pray for healing of the victims' wounds  and for sending strength and courage to their relatives and dear ones. Memory eternal to the deceased".
