KYIV. Ukrainian Orthodox Church and Internal Affairs Ministry signed agreement on cooperation

On May 14 at the residence of the UOC Primate at the Kyiv Caves Monastery His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr met with Internal Affairs Minister of Ukraine general-mayor of militia Anatoly Mohyliov.

The sides discussed the ways of cooperation designated between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and expressed hope for productivity of joint action. The key point of the meeting was signing the agreement on cooperation. First of all it aims to broaden a range of issues to be resolved by the Church and the Ministry of Internal Affairs together.

Note that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has similar agreements with the health Protection Ministry and the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.
