KYIV. On the 60th birthday anniversary of the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych was conferred on the highest award of the UOC – Distinction of the Primate of the UOC number 001

His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kyiv and All Ukraine extended personal greetings to Victor Yanukovych on his birthday anniversary.  His Beatitude offered the President an icon of the Saviour as a present, wished many years of life and God's help in the service to the people of Ukraine. For the services to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and on the occasion of the 60^th birthday anniversary President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych was conferred on the highest award of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church - the Distinction of the Primate of the UOC number 001. The resolution to establish such distinction was passed at the last session of the Holy Synod of the UOC.
