KYIV. Chairman of the Synodal Department for Religious Education and Catechization of the UOC participated in the festive arrangements dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the famous Ukrainian historian scholar Petro Tronko
At the
column hall of the Kyiv city council (Khreshchatyk,
36) the fcholestive session dedicated to honoring of Petro Tymofiyovych Tronko, a
famous Ukrainian historian scholar, chairman of the administration of the All-Ukraine
Oles Honchar Foundation of Restoration of prominent Monuments of Architectural
Historical Heritage, distinguished activist of science and technique of Ukraine,
the Hero of Ukraine, academician of the NAS of Ukraine, on the occasion of his
95th birthday anniversary and the75th anniversary of his public political
and scientific activity.
With the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr, Metropolitan of Kyiv
and All Ukraine, the Primate of the UOC, taking part in the arrangements was
chairman of the Synodal Department for Religious Education and Catechization,
Vicar Bishop of the Kyiv Metropolis His Grace Hilary of Makariv. He read out
the greetings to the hero of the anniversary and conferred onhim the order of the
Holy Hierarch Dymytriy (Tuptalo), Metropolitan of Rostov.
