On August 19, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church called
to the town of Obukhiv (Kyiv region), where he participated in the festivities dedicated
to the 19th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine. The festive
arrangements were held in the local

upon completion of which he greeted the massed assembly on the feast of
Transfiguration of Our Lord and the coming anniversary of Independence of Ukraine.
"May
the great Lord be always with us, with our State and those seeking Him and those
not seeking, with those who know Him and who do not yet. May the meetings with
God be more frequent in our lives and the eternal light of the Transfigured Savior".
