His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr met with a representative of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine


 

  On August 23, present year, His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kyiv and All Ukraine received permanent deputy of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Ms A. Feldhusen on her request.    

In the course of meeting His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr greeted the German diplomat on the beginning of her mission and wished God's assistance at the new diplomatic stage and told of the internal life of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the relations with other confessions.

In completion of the meeting the Primate of the UOC offered Ms Feldhusen the Gospels in Ukrainian as a present, recently issued by the Publishing Department of the UOC.   It should be noted that Ms Feldhusen has a perfect command of Ukrainian, which she studied in Germany. She also was presented by the UOC Primate with a photo album with the icons from Ukraine, Russian and Belarus.   

Taking part in the meeting also were Administrator of the UOC Archbishop Metrophanes of Bila Tserkva and Bohuslav and Secretary of the Department for external Church Relations of the UOC archpriest Mykola Danylevich.
