Familiarization visits of the Dean for Monasteries of the Kyiv Diocese completed

On the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine archimandrite Theodosius (Snihiryov), Dean for Monasteries of the Kyiv Dioceses made a familiarization tour of the monasteries of Kyiv and the Kyiv region.   

From August 7 through 22 the Dean visited:

August 7 - St Michael the Archangel Zvirynets Monastery of Kyiv, August 8 - the Holy Transfiguration Convent in Piskivka village.    

August 9 - the Holy Transfiguration of Our Savior Monastery in Knyazhychi, on August 10 - the Holy Trinity Kytayivo Hermitage of Kyiv.   

August 15 -the Monastery of Deposition of the Robe of the Mother of God in Blachernai, Tomashivka village.    

August 17 - the Convent of St Panteleimon in Theophania, Kyiv, August 22 - the Holy Transfiguration Monastery   in Neshcheriv.

August 22 - the Convent of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy and Consolation" in Velyka Vilshanivka village. Altogether throughout July and August archimandrite Theodosius  visited 13 monasteries and 8 convents of the Kyiv Diocese, celebrated the Divine Liturgies there and conveyed their inhabitants the words of blessing and greetings  by His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kyiv and All Ukraine and got acquainted with the life of the monastic communities.

In follow-up of the visits of the Dean for Monasteries of the Kyiv Diocese on August 27 at the Holy Dormition Kyiv Caves Monastery the assembly of the superiors of the abodes of the Kyiv Diocese will be held under the chairmanship of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr.   In the session the urgent issues of the monastery life and organization are to be considered and a number of Decrees of the Primate of the UOC are to be announced, relating to the diocesan administration of the monasteries of Kyiv and the Kyiv Diocese.
