KYIV REGION. Vicar of the Kyiv Metropolis blessed the site for construction of a church in Chervonoarmiyske village (+ VIDEO)

On August 18 in Chervonoarmiyske village of Baryshiv district the foundation stone and the cross were blessed in the constriction site of the church dedicated to the Holy Great Martyr Panteleimon. The blessing ceremony was led by Vicar Bishop of the Kyiv Metropolis Bishop Panteleimon of Vasylkiv.     


Before the consecration the soldiers who deceased in the years of the Great Patriotic War were honored with a one minute's silence. 

The future church will be a kind of monument to the soldiers who died in the years of war.   The church construction began on the initiative and with financial support of the German town Pullach. Attending the blessing of the foundation stone of the church were the citizens of Germany,  who are on the visiting terms with the residents of Baryshiv district. Not long ago the cross of reconciliation was installed in Chervonoarmiyske - a symbol of mutual forgiveness of the two people, who became enemies under evil circumstances, but now are ready to meet the needs of each other.
