KYIV. His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr met with newly appointed Consul of Ukraine in Thessaloniki

On August 27, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church at his metropolitan's residence at the Kyiv Caves Monastery met with newly-appointed consul general of Ukraine in Thessaloniki Ihor Sibiha.    

The aim of the meeting was the consul's desire to present himself to Metropolitan Volodymyr and to get blessing for his work in the new post.   

In the course of meeting the parties discussed a number of issues concerning organization of rest and recreation of the Ukrainian children by the Pilgrimage center of the UOC and the Consulate of Ukraine in Northern Greece. Also the issues of support by the Consulate of the Pilgrimage groups from Ukraine were touched upon.  

Attending the meeting also were Secretary for the Primate of the UOC, His Grace Alexander, Bishop of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyy and director of the Pilgrimage center to the Department of External Church Relations of the UOC Volodymyr Telizhenko.
