From now on Uzhgorod Theological Academy trains theologians for teaching in the higher education establishments of Ukraine

This year the final stage of the state accreditation of the theological academic-pedagogical complex of Uzhgorod Ukrainian Theological Academy named after Sts Cyril and Methodius and Carpathian Avgustin Voloshyn University was completed.

Since the theological schools and not licensed and accredited, it was through the university that for the first time in the post-revolution history our Church obtained right to prepare the theologians at the state level, with the state diplomas of bachelors first and then the master diplomas.

On August 30 Secretary for the Primate of the UOC His Grace Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyy recived master degree.

"This year, on the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr, who supported our project, the first graduation of the state masters of theology - teachers of the higher education establishment", said rector of the Uzhgorod Ukrainian Theological Academy archimandrite Victor Bed.   "Where does that get us? Having such a diploma, the Master of Theology, he is a teacher of the higher education establishment, has a right to teach all philosophical and theological subjects in the higher education establishments of the lower level, such as the elementary, basic and full secondary schools, and the higher education establishments of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
