On the day of all saints who shone in our land His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr performed the Divine Liturgy in the Church of All Saints of the Cathedral of Resurrection complex of the capital

On Sunday, June 29, the day when the Orthodox Christians commemorate in their prayers All Saints who shone in our land the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church performed the Divine Liturgy in the Church of All Saints of the Resurrection Cathedral complex of Kyiv (Zaliznodorozhne shosse, 3, metro station ‘Lybidska').

Concelebrating with His Beatitude were: Superior of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Archbishop Pavlo of Vyshgorod, Secretary to the Primate of the UOC Bishop Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi, together with the clergymen of the Church of All Saints.

At the Lesser Entrance of the Divine liturgy His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr awarded a clergyman of the church hieromonk Ilarion (Homenskyi) with the right of wearing golden cross.

Addressing the parishioners with the words of sermon the Archpastor underscored the importance of the prayerful communication with the holy God-pleasers.

"Every day the Holy Church addresses in her prayers the synaxis of God-pleasers and sanctifies our souls by their intercession for the world. A possibility of communication with the saints in the united Christian family in faith and love, in purity and sanctity in a prayer - is a gift of God for which we must thank the Lord. It is a true grace of the Lord that we have so many saints in the Church, so that each of us has his own heavenly patron of the same name, who prays for his child and directs him to salvation.
