All-Ukrainian liturgical procession dedicated to 1020th Anniversary of Baptism of Rus continues

On the blessing of His Beatitude Volodymyr, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church the Orthodox union "Orthodox Way" renewed the liturgical procession dedicated to the 1020th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus.

The liturgical procession is held to the greater glory of God, for the descent of God's grace, for strengthening of faith and morals of the Orthodox people.

The liturgical procession is held with the following shrines:
- the Icon of the Mother of God "Assumption" from the home Church of Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kyiv and All Ukraine;
- the Icon of the Mother of God "Look Down Upon Humility" from the Monastery of the Holy Entrance of Kyiv, known by its miraculous imprint on the icon-case glass, which appeared in 1993;
- the icon of the Venerable Theodosius of Chernihiv with the relics of the saint, irreconcilable fighter with heresies and schisms;
- the reliquaries with the relics of the Holy Equal to the Apostles Prince Vladimir, baptiser of Rus;
- the Venerable Dmitriy of Rostov, the Great Enlightener;
- the Venerable Agapit of Caves, Unmercenary Healer;
- the two new icons "Baptism of Rus".

After the liturgical procession the icons "Baptism of Rus" will be passed as gifts: one of them to His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kyiv and All Ukraine, for the new Cathedral built in Kyiv, and another one to His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II as a souvenir of his visit to Ukraine on the 1020th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus.

No concert programmes are planned till June 20, and the shrines will visit those towns and cities that the lutirgical procession did not visit in April and May.
