Bishop Volodymyr was born on November, 26, 1968 in village of Nevir of Lyubech district, Volyn region, into the family of Orthodox peasants.

In 1984 he graduated from the eight-year school and entered the Agricultural College of Pinsk, on graduation from which in 1988 he was called up to military service.

In 1990 entered the Volyn Theological Seminary.

In 1992 he was tonsured a monk with the name Volodymyr, after Hieromartyr Vladimir (Bogoyavlensky), Metropolitan of Kyiv and Galych. The same year he was ordained to diaconate. He bore obedience in the Holy Dormition Convent of Zimne.

In 1994 he enrolled in the Warsaw Theological Academy, at the same time he was ordained priest by His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Volodymyr in the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. From 1994 he bore obedience of teacher and tutor in the Warsaw Orthodox Theological Seminary.

In 1999 he was elevated to the rank of hegumen.

In 2000 he was awarded with ornamented cross.

In 2003 he was elevated to the rank of archimandrite by His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Volodymyr and was appointed Superior of the Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Novgorod-Siversk of the Chernihiv Diocese.

His consecration took place on June, 11,2007, in the Holy Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
