TERNOPIL. His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr visited the Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra

On Saturday, January 12, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church arrived to one of the biggest monasteries of Ukraine - the Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra. Here the Most Blessed Vladyka was received by the Superior of the Monastery Archbishop of Pochayiv Volodymyr, the brethren, numerous parishioners and pilgrims. After the hearty meeting all those present could get the blessing of the Archpastor. Then Metropolitan Volodymyr bowed with prayer unto the holy relics of the Venerable Job and Amphilochius of Pochayiv which rest in the Church of Venerable Job. It is also called the cave church since it is built over the cell of the elder who had lived in the cave for 40 years.

On Sunday, January 13, His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr served the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Dormition cathedral of the Monastery, concelebrating with the Superior of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Archbishop Pavel, the Superior of the Pochayiv Lavra Archbishop of Pochayiv Volodymyr, the Secretary of Primate of the UOC Bishop of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi Alexander and the brethren of the Monastery in the holy orders. At the end of the Divine service the Archpastor bowed unto the wonderworking icon of the Mother of God of Pochayiv.
