On Sunday, January 13, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church visited the Kremenets Convent of
the Holy Epiphany in the Ternopil region.
The Archpastor was met by
the Abbess of the convent Hegumeness Marionila (Panasyuk), the sisters of the
convent, the pupils of the Sunday school and the parishioners. Having entered
the temple, Metropolitan Volodymyr bowed unto the wonderworking icon of Mother of God, Joy of All Who Sorrow. Then he addresses those present with a word of
exhortation, in which he noted in particular:
"The feast of Nativity is great since God made such
a miracle for us, which take place only once in the history of the humanity. He
came down from heaven to unite earth and heaven, man and God, who were at
enmity because the Satan ruined the Divine harmony in the world." Upon
completion everyone got the little icons of the Nativity from the Archpastor,
and children and nuns got the sweets specially prepared for the feast.
