KYIV. Primate of the Orthodox Church of Finland met with Ukrainian President
On
May, 13 there was a meeting of the Primate of the Autonomous Orthodox Church of
Finland, Archbishop Leo of Karelia and All
Finland and President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko.
Taking
part in the meeting also was the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His
Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr.
The head of
the state conferred on Vladyka Leo the order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 5th
degree.
By the highest degree of the state the President of Ukraine marked personal
contribution of Archbishop Leo into the development of spirituality, many-years
church activity in the field of the orthodoxy.
"I'd like
You to accept this order as a token of the highest acknowledgement of Your
activity, of Your efforts", said Victor Yushchenko.
