2 monasteries were organized (previously there were no monasteries in the territory of the present Mykolayiv Diocese): the monastery (men's) in honour of the Holy and Equal-to-the Apostles Constantine and Helene in Kostyantynivka village of Zhovnnevy district and the St.Michael Convent (women's) in the village of Pelagiyivka, Novobuzk district.

In summer the orthodox children's camp functions for the pupils of the Sunday schools in the village of Rybakivka, Berezan district, at the seaside; and there is a youth labour camp at the Kinburg sandbar in the village of Pokrovka, Ochakiv region, the main purpose of which is carrying out repair and restoration works at the Holy Protection Church, where A.Suvorov prayed on the eve of Ochakovo seizure.
Conciliar prayer service with akathist to St. Nicholas is to be performed every Thursday in the St. Nicholas Cathedral Church of Mykolayiv.
The St. Nicholas Cathedral in Ochakovo was transferred into the Church ownership (previously it had been on the register of buildings which were not subject to return); and the house at the Cathedral in 2002, there the House of Teacher had been previously situated.
