On April 4-5, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr secretary  for the Primate of the UOC Archbishop Alexander visited  the Netherlands, where the largest temple bell of the Holy Transfiguration Church in Kyiv was cast.  The weightmof the bell is 1500 kg.


The Ukrainian delegation arrived in Amsterdam on April 4 and visited the bell-casting plant, where Bishop Alexander served the prayer for the beginning of all good things and sprinkled the production equipment with holy water.

 

Traditionally, as a sign of cooperation in the casting of  the bell, the blessed coins were placed into the bell. Thus, on behalf of Metropolitan Volodymyr, Archbishop Alexander laid a golden coin into the bell. The head of the Parish Council Igor Lysov put the coins collected by the parishioners  of the Holy Transfiguration church.
